1. Who we are

2. What MetalAttest does

MetalAttest offers (a) free reference pages and a calculator about the Section 232 metals lists published by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and (b) paid services, starting with the Proof Pack Sprint: we collect composition and origin information from your suppliers and organize it into proof packs and a broker export for your review. What the Sprint includes, and when it is delivered, is described in our pricing section.

3. Not customs or legal advice

MetalAttest provides data for the importer's and customs broker's review. We do not classify goods and we do not give customs or legal advice. Your licensed customs broker decides classification and files the entry. You and your broker remain solely responsible for classification, valuation, origin, duty payment and every declaration made to CBP. The free tools reproduce published government information and perform arithmetic on the numbers you enter; they may contain errors or lag behind official changes. Always check the official CBP and Federal Register sources linked on each page.

4. Your responsibilities

You confirm that you are acting for a business, that the information you give us is accurate, and that you have the right to share your suppliers' contact details with us so we can request information from them. Supplier attestations are statements made by your suppliers; we check them for completeness and internal consistency, but we cannot guarantee that they are true.

5. Prices and payment

Prices are in US dollars and shown in our pricing section. The Proof Pack Sprint costs $490, with a $99 deposit credited in full toward that price. Until card payments are live, deposits and balances are invoiced when your Sprint starts; nothing is charged on this website. When card payments go live, orders will be processed by our online reseller and merchant of record, which will be named at checkout; it handles payment, invoicing and applicable sales taxes, and its own buyer terms will also apply to the payment.

6. Refunds and cancellation

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. In short: the $99 deposit is fully refundable until we deliver your first proof pack.

7. Pilots and letters of intent

Pilot sign-ups are free and create no payment obligation. Broker letters of intent are non-binding.

8. Your data and confidentiality

We use your data and your suppliers' data only to deliver the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. We keep your product, supplier and pricing information confidential and do not share it with other customers.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the free tools are provided "as is", and our total liability arising from any paid service is limited to the amount you paid us for that service in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for duties, penalties or indirect or consequential losses, including those arising from classification or filing decisions made by you or your broker.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and changes do not affect services already paid for. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States.
